Rory Mcllroy's Wine of Choice is Iconic

"Sir, we don't let people take wine out of the club."

"What if it's for Masters champ Rory Mcllroy?"

"Which wine do you want?"

That's not exactly how it went down between the sommelier at Augusta National and pro golfer Shane Lowry, but it's quite close. To celebrate Rory Mcllory's incredible win at the 2025 Masters in April, the fellow Irishmen felt that Rory deserved to take in the achievement with something special: a case of 1990 Château Lafite Rothschild.

"That's what we had that night to celebrate," Rory confirmed to a reporter. "It was a really nice gift he [Shane] brought to my rental house that night and we had a few glasses of that which was very nice."

The 1990 vintage is one of Bordeaux's best. A constant debate many collectors have today is '89 vs. '90. We lean toward '90 so when we saw this we went nuts. Great vintage. Iconic producer. This is the pinnacle of wine and golf in one place.
